Potential Health Effects
Eyes: The eye irritation potential of this substance has not been determined. However, based on data from similar materials, it may produce slight eye irritation, e.g., discomfort, redness, swelling and blurred vision.
Skin: Not expected to cause skin irritation.
Ingestion: Not expected to produce significant adverse effects.
Inhalation: No adverse effects are expected from inhalation of the product.
Sensitization: This product contains trace quantities of methylisothiazolinone and methylchloroisothiazolinone as preservatives. At higher concentrations these preservatives have been shown to cause allergic skin reactions in susceptible individuals. These preservatives are also found in a number of widely used personal care products, such as shampoos and cosmetics.

Carcinogenicity Comments
EPA has classed acephate in category C as a possible human carcinogen based on the liver tumor findings study.
Acephate has not demonstrated any evidence of carcinogenic potential in any other species.
Results of a mouse lifetime Triforine feeding study indicated that there was an increased incidence of liver and lung tumors.

Eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove contact lenses. If present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eyes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
Skin: If on skin or clothing, take off contaminated clothing, Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15 to 20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
Ingestion: If swallowed, call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to by a poison control center or doctor. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Inhalation: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.
