Acute Health Effects: From MSDSHAZARD IDENTIFICATIONEmergency Overview: This product is an adhesive remover. It is a cloudy white liquid with a chlorinated solvent type odor. This product contains methylene chloride, methanol, toluene, and dipropylene glycol methyl ether. This material may cause eye and skin burns. This material may be harmful or fatal if swallowed.Primary Routes of Exposure:Skin ContactEye ContactInhalationPOTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTSEye: Exposure may cause eye burns. Symptoms may include burning, stinging, tearing, and redness.Skin: Exposure to skin may cause skin irritation or a burning sensation. Prolonged or repeated contact may cause skin to become reddened, rough and dry due to the removal of natural oils and may result in dermatitis. May be harmful if absorbed through skin. May cause allergic skin reaction.Ingestion: Swallowing this material may cause gastrointestinal irritation (nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea) and central nervous system depression (dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, fatigue, nausea, headache, unconsciousness). May cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract with vomiting. This material may pose an aspiration hazard. Aspiration of this material into the lungs may cause chemical pneumonitis, which may be fatal.Inhalation: Excessive inhalation may produce symptoms of central nervous system depression, ranging from light headedness, nausea and vomiting to unconsciousness and death. Inhalation may cause respiratory tract irritation and transient pulmonary edema. Can cause headache, mental confusion, depression, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, cough, loss of sense of balance, visual disturbances and other central nervous system effects. Persons with angina or other cardiovascular diseases should not be exposed to this product.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS May cause liver effects, kidney effects, bronchitis, loss of appetite, nausea, lack of balance, and visual disturbances. Methylene chloride may cause cancer. Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause dermatitis.
Carcinogenicity: The following ingredients are present at greater than 0.1% and are classifiedby IARC, NTP, and OSHA as carcinogenic: Methylene ChlorideMethylene Chloride: A 1986 NTP, 2-year animal inhalation study report states that there is ***clear evidence of carcinog
First Aid: Eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes holding eyelids apart to ensure flushing of the entire eye surface. Get medical attention immediately. Skin contact: In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention if symptoms persist. Ingestion: If swallowed, contact a physician or poison control center immediately. DO NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. This material may pose an aspiration hazard. Aspiration of this material into the lungs may cause chemical pneumonitis, which may be fatal. If spontaneous vomiting occurs, monitor breathing for difficulty. Treat symptomatically and supportively. Get medical attention. If the patient is conscious, wash out mouth with water and give 200 -300 ml (half a pint) of water to drink. Inhalation: If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical attention immediately. If breathing is difficult, have trained person administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped, give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.Note to Physician: Overexposure to this product can produce elevated carboxyhemoglobin level.

Handling: Handling: Open containers carefully and close after each use. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Do not breathe vapors or spray mist. Wash thoroughly after handling. Wash clothing before reuse. Thoroughly clean contaminated shoes.
