If on skin: Wash with plenty of water.If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Take off contaminated clothing, and wash it before reuse.

If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.

Hazards Identification

This chemical is considered hazardous by the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).Warning. Causes skin irritation.Causes eye irritation.

Potential Health Effects

Eye Contact: May cause eye irritation.

Skin Contact: May cause skin irritation.

Inhalation: May irritate respiratory tract.

Ingestion: Ingestion may cause irritation to mucous membranes and gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Chronic Health Effects: From SDS:

See Carcinogenicity.
Carcinogenicity: C.I. Acid Blue 9, disodium salt: IARC Group 3 Carcinogen.
First Aid: Eye Contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. Do not rub affected area. Get medical attention immediately if irritation persists.

Skin Contact: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. If irritation develops, call a doctor.

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If breathing is affected, call a doctor.

Ingestion: Call a poison control center or doctor immediately. Have person sip a glassful of water if able to swallow. DO NOT induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor.

General Advice: Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.
